UniFi Installation in Vancouver and the North Shore

Bourne Electric installs UniFi systems for homes and businesses across West Vancouver, the North Shore and Greater Vancouver: WiFi, security cameras, door access control and digital signage. A single UniFi console can run all of it, and you manage it from your phone.

We’re a licensed electrical contractor (Technical Safety BC Licence LEL0101560), and our electricians are all Red Seal.

WiFi for homes and offices

UniFi access points mount on the ceiling and are powered through their network cable, so there’s no outlet or power brick at each one. Phones and laptops move between access points as you walk around, without dropping the connection.

We plan access point locations around your floor plan, run the cabling and set up the network in UniFi.

Security cameras

UniFi Protect cameras record to a UniFi console in your home or business, not to someone else’s cloud, and there’s no monthly subscription to record or watch. Check live video or play back footage from the UniFi Protect app wherever you are.

Door access control

UniFi Access readers unlock doors with a key card, a phone or a PIN, and you decide who gets in and when from the UniFi Access app. Every entry is logged, and a lost card is switched off in seconds instead of rekeying the locks.

Digital signage

UniFi Connect turns screens into digital signage for menus, lobbies and meeting rooms. Content and schedules are managed from one place, so a new promotion can go up on every screen at once.

How a UniFi project runs

  1. Walkthrough. We look at the building and how you use it: where you need WiFi, which doors and areas need covering, and where screens go.

  2. Design. You get a plan showing every access point, camera, door reader and screen, and where the console and network switches go.

  3. Installation. Licensed electricians run the cabling and mount the access points, cameras, readers and screens.

  4. Setup. We set up the network, cameras, door access and signage in UniFi, with user accounts for you and your staff.

  5. Handover. We walk you through the UniFi apps on your phone.

Can one system run WiFi, cameras and door access?
