Tesla Powerwall for island homes
Tesla Powerwall 3 stores energy from the grid or from solar panels and powers your home through an outage. It has a solar inverter built in, so a solar system needs fewer parts, and without solar it is a generator alternative that needs no fuel. We install Powerwall in single-family homes, duplexes, laneway homes and business locations.
EG4 and Sol-Ark battery systems
Not every island home suits a Tesla system. We also install EG4 and Sol-Ark battery and inverter systems, and can pair them with solar panels.
How island installs work
We plan around the BC Ferries schedule, booking site visits, equipment and crew together so the work takes as few trips as possible. Send photos of your electrical panel, main breaker, meter and installation spot with your quote request, and we can scope much of the job before the first trip.

Do I need solar panels for a Powerwall?
No. Powerwall 3 charges from the grid and works as a generator alternative on its own. Adding solar lets it recharge from the sun during a long outage.
How long does an island installation take?
The installation itself typically takes 3 to 4 days, the same as on the mainland. We schedule ferry travel around it and confirm the plan when we quote.
