No rewiring in a finished home
RadioRA 3 is wireless. Its dimmers and keypads replace your existing switches and talk to a central processor over Lutron’s own radio network, not your Wi-Fi, so there are no new control wires to run through finished walls. That makes it a strong fit for established West Vancouver and North Shore homes, where opening up plaster or panelling is the part everyone wants to avoid.
In a new build or major renovation, we plan keypad locations and lighting circuits with your builder at rough-in, so every keypad lands where you will actually reach for it.

Keypads, scenes and schedules
Every keypad button is engraved with what it does: Dinner, Movie, Goodnight, Away. One press sets every light in the room, or the whole house, to the levels you chose. Lights can follow the sunset through the year, and with Lutron occupancy sensors they switch off when a room empties.
Motorized shades
RadioRA 3 runs Lutron motorized shades and drapery on the same system as the lights, so one keypad can dim a room and lower its shades together. Shades can close on a schedule to keep west-facing rooms cool on summer afternoons and open again in the morning. We plan and wire the shades with the lighting, so one installer answers for both.
One electrician for lighting, backup power and EV charging
Bourne Electric is also a certified installer of Tesla Powerwall and the Tesla Wall Connector, so one licensed team can plan a home’s lighting control, battery backup and EV charging together. With Powerwall backing up the circuits your lighting runs on, your RadioRA 3 system keeps working through a power outage.
How a RadioRA 3 project runs
Walkthrough. We go room by room: how you use the house, which fixtures you have, where keypads should go.
Design. You get a lighting plan and a keypad schedule showing the engraving on every button, with your quote.
Installation. Licensed electricians install the dimmers, keypads, processor and any shades, with permits where required.
Programming. We set up your scenes, schedules and sensors in Lutron’s software.
Handover. We walk you through the system and the app.

Do I need to rewire my house for RadioRA 3?
Usually not. RadioRA 3 dimmers and keypads are wireless and replace your existing switches, so finished walls stay closed. We confirm at the walkthrough, since some fixtures need a specific dimmer.
Should I choose Caséta or RadioRA 3?
Caséta suits a few rooms or a first step into smart lighting. RadioRA 3 suits whole homes, with engraved keypads, shades and professional programming. If the smaller system does what you need, we’ll recommend it.
Can RadioRA 3 control my shades?
Yes. Lutron motorized shades and drapery run on the same system as the lights, so one keypad or scene can set both.
